PARIS—The Texas Department of Transportation, Paris District, of which Hopkins County is a part, announced road work and repairs in the county for this week.
These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues, TxDOT said. Motorists may encounter lane closures and short traffic delays around the following:
- From State Highway 19 to White Oak Creek on State Highway 11 in Hopkins County, crews will install guard fencing and perform striping operations.
- From Loop 301 to the Delta County line on SH 19, crews will perform work on cross drainage structures..
- On Interstate 30 through Hopkins and Franklin counties from the Titus County line to the Hunt County line, crews will upgrade metal beam guard fencing, and from the Hunt County line to Loop 301, they will perform concrete pavement repairs.
- Along FM 3389 in Hopkins County I-30 to FM 1567, work will begin on cross drainage structures.
Motorists are advised to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
