Drainage, guard rail focus of TxDOT work this week

PARIS — Texas Department of Transportation announced this weekend work planned in Hopkins County during this week. These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues.

From State Highway 19 to White Oak Creek along State Highway 11 in Hopkins County, watch for lane closures and short traffic delays, as crews replace an existing drainage structure. Temporary traffic signals will direct traffic.

Along Interstate 30 between Hopkins and Franklin counties from the Titus County Line to Hunt County Line, watch for lane closures and short traffic delays as crews upgrade a metal beam guard fence.

Beginning at I-30 to the Franklin County line on FM 900 in Hopkins County, watch for lane closures and short traffic delays, as crews install drainage structures.

On FM 1448 in Franklin County from the Wood County line to FM 115, watch for lane closures and short traffic delays, as crews install drainage structures.

Motorists are advised to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
