Courson couple celebrate 50th anniversary

James and Linda Courson celebrated 50 years of marriage Friday, Aug. 7. They were married at Central Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs in 1970. They have two daughters: Michelle Tipps and husband Kevin, and Amy Hooks and husband Tony. Their grandchildren are Micah Henderson, Jonah Henderson, Payton Hooks, and Rebecca and Jacob Tipps. Family and friends were invited to attend an anniversary drive-thru parade Saturday, Aug. 8 to celebrate the couple’s 50th. The Coursons reside in Sulphur Springs.
