COMO-PICKTON — The Como-Pickton Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees will consider adding a Bible literacy class to the district curriculum among other items at the regular meeting Nov. 11 at the C-P Conference Center.

After considering the approval of the October meeting minutes and November expenditures, the board will hear a report from Superintendent Dr. Greg Bowers regarding a bus awning, another Farmers Electric Cooperative power lines and a policy update from the Texas Association of School Boards.

According to the TASB website, the organization’s policy update will cover board meetings, investments, employee standards of conduct, crisis intervention and other items.

The board will receive the monthly financial report and a report on delinquent and current tax collection.

After Bowers delivers his reports to the board, they will enter into executive session in regards to the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee. An evaluation of the superintendent will be distributed and discussed by the board.

The board will then re-enter regular session to take or consider action on the item regarding the public officer or employee.
