Commissioners to discuss approving Pine Forest solar farm reinvestment zone

The Hopkins County Commissioners Court will hold a public forum to discuss the proposed tax reinvestment zone for the solar farm to be constructed near Pine Forest before voting to approve the tax incentive during its regular session at 9 a.m. Monday, July 13.

In other business, the court will consider and approve a county contract for transportation of mental health individuals, as well as approving the county employee benefits pool for 2020.

The Court will consider and approve a request from Farmers Electric Cooperative to construct electrical power distribution facilities which will cross County Road 2428 located 2,048 feet west of CR 2429 in Precinct 2.

Also on the agenda for court approval are previous meeting minutes; budget amendments and line item transfers; payment of bills, revenues, expenses, payroll and financial statements; monthly reports from county offices, any other grants or donations presented; personnel matters; disposal of assets requests; and any contracts, resolutions or proclamations presented.

The emergency session will convene at 9 a.m. Monday, July 13 in the first floor courtroom of the Hopkins County Courthouse.
