The City Cemetery Society met Tuesday, June 11 in the Myra Wilson Chapel on cemetery grounds. Members present were Annada and Jim Jones, Linda Jackson, Ruthmary Hall, Helen Starrett, Nell Furney, Cathy Bonner, Debbie Barrett, Steve Longino, Sue Owens, Mary Ann Anglin and Janet Garvin.
The meeting was opened with the Lord’s Prayer.
Minutes from the previous meeting were read by Secretary Hall. Jim Jones gave the treasurer’s report. Annada Jones gave the memorial report and conducted the discussion of old and new business.
Memorials were made in the memory of:
• Mike Moore by Angie Moore;
• Billy K. Hendrix by
Debra K. Barrett; and
• Linda Moore by
James and Annada
Jones, Sunell Comfort, and Gene and
Janette Watson.
Longino has been working on a new website for the cemetery. He announced the site is up and running. The address is sulphurspringscitycemetery.org.
The next meeting will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13 at the Myra Wilson Chapel. Visitors are welcome.
