City authorizes $25K to join Sulphur River oversight board

The City of Sulphur Springs will now be joining the Sulphur River Basin Authority (SRBA) per a unanimous action of the city council at their regular September meeting.  It will cost the city $25,000 to join the ecological oversight board, according to city manager Marc Maxwell.  “We are being asked to, and I think we should, support the Sulphur River Basin Authority,” Maxwell told the council. …
