Tabernacle Baptist Church, 9983 FM 269 south in Pickton, will host a 42 tournament Saturday, Feb. 29. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the tournament at 10 a.m.
This is a fundraiser for the Brewers, a missionary family in Papua, New Guinea.
“Our church has supported this ministry out of our regular budget for several years. We also have held fundraiser to be able to send additional support to this ministry,” Mike Haun, pastor, wrote in a statement. “In the past, we have held dinners with dessert auctions.”
Teams will be divided into groups to provide the maximum number of games played, and total marks will determine the top teams. Prizes will be awarded for first-third places. Dominoes, tables and lunch will be provided.
“Our desire is that this tournament will be a fun event that you will remember with the idea of raising as much money as we can for the Jason Brewer ministry,” Hawn said.
Early registration is $25 per team; at the door is $30 per team.
