Now is the time to help others and yourself.

If your closet is crowded with coats and blankets you seldom use, CANHelp is just the place to drop them off.

All for a good cause. CANHelp has officially opened their coat drive.

With cold weather coming, it's good to know that many in the county will be receiving coats thanks to the generosity of persons in Hopkins County with the means to help others stay warm and comfortable.

There is a need in our community for warm coats and blankets. Please join CANHelp and sponsors by participating in the Annual Fall Coat Drive to ensure everyone in Hopkins County stays warm this winter.

Brian Crump, CANHelp Executive Director said, 'We are accepting new and gently used coats of all sizes and new blankets from starting now through Monday, Dec. 2 at CANHelp, City National Bank (Mockingbird Location), First Baptist Church, Head2Toe Nutrition, Wing Stop, First United Methodist Church, Journey Baptist Church, Gafford Chapel United Methodist Church, and Shannon Oaks Church. Just look for our drop off boxes.

Crump said, 'CANHelp will also be accepting items through Dec. 2. Just bring your gently used or new coats and new blankets to CANHelp at 613 Gilmer St. Don’t forget to search your closets for those cold weather items you no longer use.'
