The Hopkins County Jr. Dairy auction took place Thursday, starting at noon with a luncheon and at 1 p.m. with the sale.

The Hopkins County 4-H had a strong showing at the 2019 Dairy Classic Show as members Braden Lennon, Elida Miller and Zia Miller claimed the champion, reserve champion and showmanship awards respectively.

Hopkins County 4-H also claimed the top five spots, but Como-Pickton FFA members Baylee Bowen and Allie Cockrum place just outside at fifth and sixth.

There were 34 exhibitors, and the top 17 will be offered for sale. These exhibitors are as follows: Braden Lennon, Elida Miller, Samantha Smith, Zia Miller, Brett Boatman, Baylee Bowen, Allie Cockrum, Tatum Thompson, Reese Reagan, Kannon Gibson, Dallas Davidson, Milley McCormack, David James, Wayne Hinton, Maddi Skaggs, Baylor Boatman and Jackson Reed.
