Report of theft leads to drug arrest

John Matthew Perez, 35, of Sulphur Springs was arrested at his residence on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance Thursday at 9:56 a.m.

Officers were dispatched to the area in reference to a theft. The complainant reportedly advised Perez removed several items from his residence without consent. The complainant also reportedly advised officers of Perez’s location.

Officers contacted Perez, who reportedly admitted to removing several items from the residence.

While speaking with Perez, officers also reportedly located drug paraphernalia and took him into custody.

Jail staff reportedly located a clear plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine inside Perez’s boot.

Bond was set at $5,000 on the controlled substance charge, and Perez remained in custody as of press time Wednesday, according to arrest and jail reports.

Jail transfers, other activity

Jamie Lee Lindsey, 29, of Sulphur Springs was released from jail Wednesday on a $26,000 bond. He was booked in May 25 on charges of possession of 4-200 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, resisting search, arrest or transport and surety off bond on charges of criminal trespass with a deadly weapon and prohibited weapon-knuckles, according to jail reports.

Rebecca L. Maiello, 21, of Sulphur Springs was released from jail Wednesday. She was arrested Oct. 30 after her bond was revoked on two counts of possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, one occurring in a drug-free zone, according to jail reports.

Misha Michelle Price, 25, of Oklahoma City was released from jail Wednesday on a $25,000 bond. She was arrested July 23 on charges of unauthorized use of a vehicle, theft of a firearm, possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, abandoning or endangering a child with criminal negligence and five Oklahoma warrants for failure to appear on various charges, according to jail reports.

Seth Dalton Bryant, 20, of Cumby was released from jail Thursday on a $5,000 bond. He was booked in Nov. 9 on a surety off bond warrant for criminal mischief $100-$750 and a probation violation on a charge of possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, according to jail reports.

Christopher Roy Mosher, 19, of Winnsboro was released from jail on a $60,000 bond. He was booked in June 12 on multiple warrants for a variety of charges, including prohibited substance in a correctional facility and possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, according to jail reports.

Jonathan Wayne Smith, 22, of Sulphur Springs was released from jail Thursday on a $70,000 bond. He was booked in June 11 on charges of manufacture or delivery of 1-4 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance, two counts of manufacture or delivery of 4-200 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance in a drug-free zone and a probation violation on a charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, according to jail reports.
