The following reports are based on arrests conducted with reports filed by Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County law enforcement from 5:30 a.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Friday and included:

Alcohol-related arrests

• A 21-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested Feb. 5 for public intoxication. No bond was set.

• A 41-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested Feb. 5 for public intoxication. No bond was set.

Drug-related arrests

• Aldis Roswell, 34, of Winnsboro, was arrested Feb. 3 for possession of one gram to four grams of a penalty group 1 controlled substance and tampering or fabricating physical evidence. No bond was set.

• 32-year-old Diego Chavez-Servin of Mount Vernon was arrested Feb. 3 for possession of one gram to four grams of a penalty group 1 controlled substance and tampering or fabricating physical evidence. No bond was set.

• 36-year-old Kyle Rosewell of Winnsboro was arrested Feb. 3 for possession of one gram to four grams of a penalty group 1 controlled substance and tampering or fabricating physical evidence. No bond was set.

• A 38-year-old Sulphur Springs woman was arrested Feb. 3 for possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.

• Mary Walker, 26, of Sulphur Springs, Texas was arrested Feb. 4 for violation of parole - burglary of a building and possession of a penalty group 1 substance. No bond was set.

Warrants, transfers and other activity

• A 29-year-old Smyrna, Tennessee man was arrested Feb. 2 for violating probation - unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Bond was denied.

• A 24-year-old Josephine, Texas man was arrested Feb. 2 for a fugitive from justice warrant - evading arrest or detention. No bond was set.

• A 20-year-old Point, Texas man was arrested Feb. 2 for illegal dumping - commercial. No bond was set.

• 22-year-old Harleah Petrea of Sulphur Springs was arrested Feb. 3 for abandoning or endangering a child. Bond was set at $5,000.

• A 29-year-old Fort Mitchell, Kentucky woman was arrested Feb. 3 on a warrant for assaulting a family member with previous convictions. No bond was set.

Hopkins County communications operators answered 608 non-emergency phone calls, 156 calls for service and 69 emergency calls. From 5:30 a.m. Sunday to 7 a.m. Friday, officers conducted 1 funeral escort and 54 traffic stops. 13 people were booked in and 16 people were released from the Hopkins County Jail which held 160 inmates as of 5:30 a.m. Friday.
