Kandace Ryan Austin-Paris is from the Sulphur Springs area and is a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School Class of 2006. Kandace and now-husband Phillip Paris would often come back to Sulphur Springs to visit and just fell in love with the downtown area. So, they decided they would love to have their wedding here. Longtime friend of Kandace’s mom, Billie Ruth Standbridge, was excited to offer her new addition to downtown, “The Main St. Courtyard.” This is the first wedding to be held at The Courtyard. Kandace and Phillip stated it was the perfect place for a wedding.

The small ceremony of just family was held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020. Kandace was walked down the aisle by their 1-year-old daughter, Perri. Pastor Ron Smidley of Dike Community Bible Fellowship Church officiated the ceremony.

After the wedding, the family of the bride and groom had a delicious celebration dinner at The Corner Grub House restaurant. The couple also stayed the weekend at the gorgeous condo rental overlooking the courtyard and Main Street downtown provided by the owners of Landers Creek Outfitters, J.P and Kristy Mosely.

Kandace and Phillip had such a memorable wedding and wanted to give a huge thank-you to all the local merchants that provided for their special day: Standbridge, The Main St. Courtyard, Landers Creek Outfitters, The Corner Grub House, Danna’s Buffalo Girls Florist, Marlene’s Sass & Class, and Rae Photography.
