Area schools show support after Reed, Ivey accident

  • Cooper ISD gathered in their gym to snap a picture dressed in blue and gold. “We have dear friends in Sulphur Springs and embraced the opportunity to show our love and support during such a difficult time,” said Cooper ISD Superintendent Denecia Hohenberger. “We hope we can do our part to help the community heal,” said Principal Richard Roan.

Homecoming Tragedy

After the tragic deaths last week of Sandy Reed and Keesha Ivey, two Sulphur Springs residents killed in a traffic accident following last Friday’s football game, the community has pulled together in mourning and healing.

Area businesses are holding fundraisers, and schools from Hopkins County and beyond wore blue and gold to show solidarity for Reed, Ivey and their families.
