The Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce hosted its second annual Chamber Showcase Thursday at the Sulphur Springs Country Club. The networking event provided an opportunity for Chamber members to promote their organizations and interact with potential customers.

The event gave attendees a chance to meet with representatives of a variety of local hotels, restaurants, stores, event venues, banks, assisted living communities and dent repair services, as well as staffing, insurance and home healthcare agencies.

Many of the booths featured games or drawings where attendees had a chance to win prizes, such as lawn equipment, free meals and wedding packages. Chick-Fil-A gave away free samples of Chicken Minis and chocolate chip cookies to the delight of attendees.

“Tonight we feature our Chamber members and encourage a huge night of networking. Everyone here is anxious to tell others about their businesses, and we are happy to provide that opportunity for them. This is all about walking through the booths, trading businesses cards, eating snacks and most importantly, meeting new people and making new contacts. We’ve had a great time, and we are looking forward to moving this to a semi-annual event to help our businesses in Hopkins County,” Chamber President Lezley Brown said.

Chamber Vice President Logan Vaughn said vendor participation was significantly larger this year, with 36 vendors participating.
