| Spring Clean Up in full swing in Sulphur Springs

Sulphur Springs High School Tuesday afternoon announced Alexis Villarino and Asia Chen as the Class of 2024 valedictorian and salutatorian Tuesday afternoon. Only 0.007 grade points separated the top two students.

Demetra Robinson has been announced to become the new high school assistant principal, replacing Angie Edwards, who resigned in December 2023. Robinson is currently training, in addition to teaching her criminal justice classes at SSHS, and will begin her new position at the start of the 2024-2025 school year.

Some people might think that the school year slows down after students come back from spring break, but Sulphur Springs ISD’s students still have the pedal to the metal. From high tech to high art, they’re demonstrating their talents and bringing home trophies.

Two pilots took full advantage of the longest and most visible eclipse for the U.S. in 100 years.
