Hopkins County Commissioners met Monday morning for their regular meeting. Sulphur Bluff VFD received an award and Hopkins County Fire Department received a donation from Atmos Energy. Citizens also attended to discuss their concerns on the Dike solar farm.

Saltillo ISD held their homecoming coronation Saturday evening, and Anna Reeder, center holding the bouquet, was announced as this year's Homecoming Queen. Joining her on the court are, from left, seniors Josey Bench, Bianca Castro, Brittney Peeples, Alley Smith, Kristina Wade, Maddy Smith, Paisley Kastner, Ofelia Cabrera and Chandler Bain. Helping with the ceremony were some elementary students.

The first step toward a potential fifth solar farm inside Hopkins County was made by the Saltillo ISD board Thursday night as they accepted the application for a value limitation agreement from Stampede Solar LLC.

It’s Homecoming Week at Saltillo ISD, and that means new royalty will be crowned! Friday night is the Homecoming game against Yantis and also Senior Night for the basketball girls. The coronation will be held 6 p.m. Saturday to allow for more attendance. The class of 2001 will also be welcomed home.
