Jan. 27, 2007 - The North Hopkins girls moved into a tie with Quinlan Boles atop their district standings with a 22-point victory on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Saltillo boys and girls both made short work of Roxton to stay unbeaten in their district.

North Hopkins 45, Boles 23
QUINLAN - The Lady Panthers had three players score in double figures and they held Boles to just one point in the fourth quarter. That knotted both teams' record at 4-1 in District 18-A, Div. I.
Sabra Thomas led NH (13-13) with 16 points, while Jessi Mannis added 12 and Ebbonye Johnson scored 10 . The Lady Panthers got off to a 17-7 first quarter lead and never trailed.
"This was our best-played game of the season," said NH head coach Tim Menke. "The kids played good team defense. It was a good win for us."

ROXTON - Winter Stevens scored points points, 10 in each half, to lead the Lady Lions to their 24th win of the season against just one loss.
The victory also clinched a playoff berth for the Lady Lions (11-0 in District 22-A, Div. II).
Stephanie Methe scored 14 points for the Saltillo and Chloe Roberts added nine. The Lady Lions led 16-9 after one period, 27-20 at halftime and 39-28 after three.
Roxton (7-4) was led by Nesley with 12 points.

ROXTON - All nine players scored points for the Lions (20-5 overall) as they maintained their unbeaten season (11-0) in District 22-A, Div. II.
Miles Payne led the Lions with 21 points and Jocsan Gamez added 13. Kenneth Poor and Travis Thompson bucketed eight points each.
The Lions took a commanding 22-6 lead in the first period and a 45-18 advantage at halftime.
