NH boys, girls split games in Parish tourney

Dec. 7, 2007 - North Hiopkins boys won their opening game Thursday in the Freeman Parish Tournament they are hosting, but the NH girls came up short against Chisum in their opening-round contest.

BIRTHRIGHT - North Hopkins (6-6) was led by Robert White with 10 points, while Roger Sancho and Williams scored eight points each.
"It was a good game for everyone to get playing time and work on some of our new offensive sets and zone defense," said NH head coach Matt Rager.
North Hopkins plays Alba-Golden at 6:30 p.m. today.

CELESTE - The Trojans held a 23-14 lead at the half and a 35-23 lead after three quarters on Thursday to advance in the winners' bracket.
Cumby was led by Timmy Cook with 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and seven steals, while Kris Stanford had a double-double of 11 points, 16 rebounds, four steals and three assists.
The Trojans will play Callisburg at 8:30 p.m. today.
